Video: What Marcus Lattimore is looking for from South Carolina's offense
On Wednesday, Marcus Lattimore shared his thoughts with us on South Carolina’s offense through five games.
“I want to emphasis the fact that Marcus Satterfield is calling good plays,” said Lattimore. “He’s putting us in situations where quarterbacks and receivers can succeed. What people need to remember is he’s seeing the game from a sideline view and he’s calling (plays) based on what he sees. Sometimes protection breaks down. Some times Spencer’s eyes might be in the wrong spot. This takes time. This (will be) their sixth game together. Satterfield is calling plays because things are open.”

Here’s a longer extension of that conversation with Lattimore from the podcast series “BLEAV in South Carolina” with me, Marcus Lattimore, and Nick Klos on the BLEAV Network. Lattimore went on to explain what he wants to see South Carolina do this weekend.
“We really have to find a way to get (Spencer Rattler) out of the pocket but it’s not gonna be easy. But we have good players too. It’s not an option, we have to get the running game going.”
Lattimore also shared how with so much attention surrounding Kentucky running back Chris Rodriguez, why there’s a South Carolina player you might want to keep an eye on this weekend.

In addition to Orth, Michael Scarnecchia will serve as rotating co-hosts with Uva throughout the season.
Scarnecchia was a five-year member on USC’s football team (2014-18). He’s best known for his 2018 performance against Missouri. With Jake Bentley out, Scarnecchia started at quarterback in a monsoon. With just over a minute left trailing by one, Scarnecchia led the Gamecocks down the field into field goal range for the win. He recently graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
The GC Live: Postgame Show is one of the two new shows Gamecock Central has launched this fall. It airs shortly after the conclusion of every South Carolina football game. Like other GC Live shows they’ll be available to be watched on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. One of the wrinkles we’ve added to this show is a call-in feature. That number to call is (803) 567-3796.
