Video: Where South Carolina men's basketball stand with recruiting
With April quickly coming to an end, Gamecock Central’s Collyn Taylor and Mike Uva breakdown the latest on recruiting for South Carolina men’s basketball.
In the video, the two take a deeper look into the the three additions the Gamecocks have picked up this offseason via the transfer portal. They also look share what moves South Carolina could be making next, what else they’re looking to add, and how many scholarships they have remaining.

Below are a few additional notes on the three transfers that have joined the Gamecocks, so far.
Stephen Clark
Added: April 3, 2023
Stephen Clark, a 6-foot-8 forward from The Citadel with one year of eligibility remaining, has committed to the Gamecocks. Last season with the Bulldogs, Clark averaged just over 16 points a game and shot nearly 50 percent from the field. That number rose to over 52 percent when he attempted shots inside of the arc.

Myles Stute
Added: April 17, 2023
Standing at 6-7, Stute is a forward with two years of eligibility remaining. As Taylor wrote, he’s coming off a three-year career with Vanderbilt where he averaged 7.4 points on 37.7 percent shooting and went 37.9 percent from deep. Stute shot 60.9 percent from the line over his career while hauling in 3.7 rebounds.

Bryce Underwood

This past year he averaged 8.4 points but his shooting numbers dipped this season. Stute hit just 34.7 percent from the field and 36.1 percent from three. He did haul in his best rebounds per game of his career, bringing in 4.6 per game.

A transfer point guard from Minnesota, Copper arrives in Columbia with just one year of eligibility remaining. The 6-4 transfer averaged a career-high 9.8 points and 6.3 assists per game this past season with the Gophers. He also finished top ten in the country in assists per game this past year and started in all 31 games.
