Camden’s Joyce Edwards committed to South Carolina Wednesday evening. Watch the moment the coveted prospect became a Gamecock.
Edwards made the announcement during a ceremony at Camden High School. She chose South Carolina over LSU and Clemson. Edwards also took official visits to Texas A&M and Stanford. South Carolina requested, and got, her final official visit the weekend of October 28.
Edwards and Sarah Strong have been the consensus top two players in the 2024 class for years, frequently flip-flopping in the HoopGurlz rankings. At 6-3, Edwards is a versatile forward who can do a little bit of everything, but she is most coveted for her defensive ability.
