After months of waiting and anticipation, South Carolina finally unveiled its new light show.

The Gamecocks’ pregame show kicked off its new LED light show and sound system.

The show synced the lights up to a pregame video and Sandstorm in front of a capacity crowd at Williams-Brice Saturday night.

South Carolina’s season opener is one of the more anticipated games in years, and probably the most of the Shane Beamer era to date.

The Gamecocks take on Georgia State at 7:30 p.m. after a frenzied offseason that saw South Carolina make up ground in the transfer portal.

The Gamecocks added Spencer Rattler, Austin Stogner, Corey Rucker, Antwane Wells and many others through the portal. Then those get paired with players like Josh Vann, MarShawn Lloyd, Juju McDowell, Jaheim Bell and others.

South Carolina fans are eager to see the team’s new-look offense along with some of the stadium’s upgrades like the lights.

The Gamecocks also installed a new sound system and ribbon boards as part of offseason additions.

It’s in an effort to enhance South Carolina’s game day perspective for fans and recruits.

“This is an unbelievable college town. To be able to get out and experience what a college town is like on a Saturday leading into a Saturday night in Columbia. It’s pretty special and a great opportunity,” Beamer said.

“It’s about relationships but certainly recruits see and watch that Gamecock Walk when we arrive. The bigger and more electric and loud and wild and crazy that is the more of an impact that makes on these guys.”

South Carolina is also retiring Jadeveon Clowney’s jersey during halftime, bringing the former All-American and No. 1 pick back to Columbia with a big group of recruits in town.

“When the coaches get to the stadium on Saturday the players are getting dressed and all that, but we as coaches, the first hour before we go to pregame is spent doing nothing but visiting with recruits,” Beamer said.

“I have a locker room office there at the stadium. All I do in there is recruits come in and out and I visit with them and talk. And get to see them for pregame and after the game as well. A lot goes into it and we just be ourselves.”

South Carolina is kicking off at 7:30 p.m. ET against Georgia State. It will be televised on ESPN Plus.
