Why South Carolina? “All the coaches bring you in and treat you like their sons, basically. I was in film watching film with some of the guys and coaches during bowl practice. They treat you how you want to be treated. It’s laughing, making comments, it’s fun. I say this to everybody: honestly, Coach Beamer is like a father figure. He talks to you like he’s known you forever. He knows how to speak, makes you feel like home. It’s an up and coming program; he’s making things special.”
Scouting report from On3: Versatile space defender whose length and range allows him to make plays at every level of the field. Ran a solid 11.86 100m and an impressive 23.89 200m during his freshman track and field season given his size. Tremendous spatial awareness when working in zone coverage. Excellent closing speed and ability to run from sideline to sideline. Possesses stopping power at the point of contact when engaging ball carriers. Functional rusher off of the edge. Need to see development with his hand usage and ability to shed blockers. High upside prospect who has every chance to become a top-tier NFL prospect.
