– This weekend is the Salute the Troops Game. In addition to the game, they’ll be holding a 5K race that raises money for veterans this weekend

– Vandy is second in the country in takeaways; offensively they’ve turned the ball over a lot

– Biggest thing that stands out about Vandy is their size on both sides of the football

INJURY REPORT: Train Jones (OUT), Dakereon Joyner (OUT), Trey Knox (questionable)

– Thanks the fans who came out for the environment they created this past weekend. Shares that one of the top players in the nation was in Beamer’s office for an unofficial visit the following day and the first thing he said was how much he enjoyed the atmosphere.

– It’s okay to celebrate a win while still being critical about the way we play

– Need to be better and it starts with him. But he hopes no one walked out of the stadium unhappy because it’s a win

– He’ll awalys celebrate wins. That’s who he is. He’s been part of programs where coaches came into the locker room after the game and chewed the team out and have seen things go South quickly. Said he’ll never do that. They enjoyed the victory but he was back in the building early on Sunday to get back to work to make improvements

– As far as Juice Wells’ status goes, Beamer says there’s nothing new to share. If anything changes he’ll let it be known. Juice continues to be in the building and has been running at practice. He’s been working on getting back to where he needs to be both physically and mentally.

– As Xavier Legette closes in on becoming just the fifth Gamecock to eclipse 1K yards receiving in a season, Beamer shares how impressed they’ve been knowing that so much as been asked from him this season. He’s not just lining up on the outside, he’s been asked to lineup inside as well and do more with Juice out.

– Added that Legette is the one that gets people going, since he’s in charge of the locker room music

– Shares that his family gave him crap for that fake punt call. Was grateful for hoe the defense responded

– They’ve been tapering things at practice to find balance knowing that at this time of the year, everyone is banged up a little, while also trying to still get some good work in during practice

– Mood has been good around the building. They never get too high or two low after a win or loss. They watched the film and showed and know there’s areas where they can be better at.

– Beamer shares that the Denver Broncos had a scout at the facility today and the scout asked him about Spencer Rattler. Beamer told him that Rattler does a good job with elevating the play of everyone around him.
