— Disappointed South Carolina didn’t make enough plays. Proud of the fight. Knew it would be a four quarter SEC war. In the end, didn’t do enough good things to win.
— Main problem defensively was calling a lot of pressures but not running them. Pointed out situations where they ran the pressure but either didn’t execute it properly or got flagged for a penalty. Had some calls that were perfect but Florida made the plays and South Carolina didn’t.
— Extremely frustrating to not get stops on third and fourth down. Did a good job of holding them to field goals in the first half. But when Florida is 75 percent on fourth downs in the last few minutes, they couldn’t get it done. Says they should’ve been off the field multiple times. Going to be a tough night when Florida is passing for over 400 yards and running 81 plays.

— Didn’t do a great job of adjusting and communicating as the game wore on. When they do communicate, they have to get there and make plays.
— Doesn’t worry about Kai Kroeger at all. Not always going to perfect. Was told the guards were knocking the defenders into Hunter Rogers on some snaps. Playing smart football is a key to the game and Florida played clean football compared to the Gamecocks with three less penalties.
— Stone Blanton had thigh bruise. Should be fine. Vershon Lee had a knee injury. Tried going back out there for the second half but couldn’t do so. Mario Anderson had an ankle injury in the first half and fought through it.
— Message in the locker room was that he was proud of the guys and they laid it on the line. Had a great week of practice and were confident coming into the game. Didn’t make enough plays. Florida did a great job of making more plays. But he knows how the team will respond. Show up on Sunday and be ready to roll to play Missouri next week.
— Proud of the guys in the locker room, the guys they have on the team. Love to compete. But that was a gut-wrenching loss. Have to get a lot better as team rest of the way with six games to go.

— Thought the OL did good today. Thought Trai Jones did some good things. Lee played well at right tackle. Thought at tackle they were okay with Lee. Losing Lee in the second half was not ideal. Trey Knox and Joshua Simon made a lot of plays at tight end. Feels good about the guys in the running back room as well.
— When you give up that many explosive plays in the secondary it’s tough to win. Young group but points out some of the guys that are older and have more experience. Have to play with the right leverage and technique to make those plays.
— Tough to win games in this league if you can’t create turnovers.
— Talked about having the two-minute offense ready with a few minutes to go. You have to anticipate them scoring and that the game isn’t over. Had plenty of time. Work on two-minute drills all the time. Felt confident with Rattler at quarterback and three timeouts but couldn’t get it done.
