— Credit to Ole Miss. They played great. Much respect to Lane Kiffin for getting his team ready to play after the Kentucky loss.
— Really appreciate the effort South Carolina played with. LaNorris Sellers competed and battled. OD Fortune gave great effort.
— The most disappointed he’s ever been as a football coach after that game. Talked about how Ole Miss was the most penalized team coming into this game with his team. They needed to be poised and disciplined and they were undisciplined to say the least.
— Need to be better. Got a lot of work to do. Still believes in this football team. They’ve shown many signs of being a good football team. Just didn’t do well enough today.
— OD Fortune has an upper body injury. Jared Brown had the same injury as Fortune. Dalevon Campbell has a pretty significant shoulder injury.
— Felt they had a pretty good fake punt call. Certainly wishes he could have that one back. Ole miss played that one well, better than he expected. Anticipated Ole Miss being softer off the edge. Hate that he put the defense in that spot.
— The way they played in the first quarter sucked. Just gotta be better, for sure.
— Ole Miss was going to be a challenge to block. Wanted to be able to get the ball out of Sellers’ hands quickly on offense. Thought they were a little better in the second half and played with some tempo. Played decent in the second half. Did some decent things but weren’t good enough.

— Doesn’t remember the moment when he accepted the penalty on the Kyle Kennard sack in the first half that led to Ole Miss scoring.
— Talked to Dylan Stewart after the game about the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

— Thought the defense played well. Put them in tough spots. For the most part, they did okay. But they didn’t force a turnover.
— Sellers played his butt off. Battled, took some hits. Thought the OL did a pretty job most of the night. Protection wise, he had time. He continues to get better and made some good throws. He overall did a solid job.
— There are some detail things they have to clean up from a route running standpoint.
— There were some decisions he wanted to have back. Felt good about the fake punt going into the game but ended up giving Ole Miss some momentum. There’s a lot he’s sure he’ll look back at and wish he could have back. But it’s more so the preparation during the week. They talked about a lot of the stuff they knew they needed to do. Clearly they didn’t do a good enough job of conveying the details.
— Hopes all of Ole Miss’ guys are okay after they got hurt. It’s remarkable to him how many injuries occurred for them after the opposing offense had a first down or made a big play. It happens a lot for them. If what it looks like is accurate, it’s a bad look for college football.
— Thought they could rely on the defense. Talked about it all week that this was Ole Miss’ first legit road game. Felt good about the defense. Having said that, they wanted to be aggressive. It’s about staying on the field so the defense doesn’t have to play too many plays.
— Any time there’s a penalty, he’s talking to Clayton White about what he wants to do.
