2-Minute Drill: Vols host a number of targets on Saturday

The Tennessee Vols continue working the recruiting trail, and they hosted a number of targets on Saturday just a week away from their annual spring. Volquest takes a look at the latest from Saturday’s event.
5-star RB Savion Hiter returns to Knoxville
The nation’s top tailback returned to Knoxville this weekend, and he spent Saturday morning watching the Vols on the practice field, and he will spend Saturday evening with Josh Heupel, De’Rail Sims and company.
Vols continues to work the tight end position
Carson Sneed has been on the road this spring, and he announced earlier this week that he will take six official visits in the process, including stops at Colorado, Ole Miss, Miami, North Carolina and UCLA. Sneed returned to campus on Saturday, but the Vols also hosted four-star Montana tight end Matt “Moose” Ludwig on Saturday.
Tennessee impressed the four-star prospect, and he is going to take an official visit during the month of May as he will look to learn more about the program during that time, but he did hit it off with Alec Abeln this weekend by all accounts.

Mississippi LB T.J. White impressed by Vols again
Four-star 2026 linebacker T.J. White was in Knoxville in January, and the Vols impressed the top-75 prospect enough during that visit enough for him to schedule a June official visit. He was impressed with what he saw from the practice field and noted the Vols are continuing to be one of the schools at the top of his recruitment.
Four-star OL Tommy Tofi ‘Blown Away’ by visit
Tennessee made the most of getting four-star offensive lineman Tommy Tofi to campus. He has scheduled an official visit for the weekend of June 13th, and he noted the Vols ‘checked all of the boxes’ this weekend. He is looking to learn more about the program in June with schools like Utah, Cal, and Ohio State involved in this recruitment.
In-state safety Craig Tutt returns to campus
Tennessee remains firmly in the mix for the in-state prospect with Michigan and Ole Miss also heavily involved in this recruitment. He has now scheduled his official visit for the weekend of June 20th, as Tennessee took another step in the right direction in this recruitment on Saturday.
