In-state athlete Joel Wyatt was back at Tennessee this weekend for his official visit. This marked the second time in three weeks for him to be back on Rocky Top as he continues to feel the love.

Just the culture, I mean being up here again, it is a great time, and just seeing those similar faces and the love they show me,” Wyatt said of this visit. “The boat ride was fun. The tubing, I liked it a lot. I wasn’t going to get on it at first, but they convinced me, and I didn’t want to get off there.”

He talks with coach Chop Harbin a good amount. Harbin has built a good bond with he and his family.

“It is very great. We talk everyday basically. Just being up here with him and his family is great.”

He loves to talk with Josh Heupel. They met in his office on Sunday morning before he left town to talk about where things are and how he would fit into things at Tennessee.

“I mean, it was good just getting up there and sitting with him again was just great,” Wyatt said of the time spent with Heupel.”https://youtu.be/VwNDL-BeiXA?si=GXKK1fFbU4obs0Cz

Wyatt will visit Vandy and Georgia the next two weekends. LSU has been trying hard to get him to campus, but he is no longer planning to see the Tigers on a visit. He knows he is closing in on a decision.

“I will take two more OVs, then after that is when I will make my decision,” Wyatt said of this.

Just being back around campus this weekend was another positive for the Vols’ in Wyatt’s recruitment.

“Just being back up here again and seeing the people and the academic side helps a lot,” Wyatt said of this. “Seeing where I would stay if I came up here. Just the small things.
