At one point, playing football again seemed like a far-fetched idea to former Tennessee star pass-rusher Byron Young. Young was helping manage a Dollar Store, as he worked his way into an opportunity to get on the team at Georgia Military College, and eventually turned into a highly sought after recruit.

After starring on the field at Tennessee for two season, Young’s journey took another step as he was selected by the Los Angeles Rams with the 77th overall pick.

As Young’s dreams continue to turn to reality, he is set to make a nice amount of money throughout his rookie contract. According to Spotrac, Young’s projected to make $5,556,668 over four years with a guaranteed signing bonus of $1,041,213.

Looking at Young’s time at Tennessee

Young came to Tennessee with lofty expectations, and his path to the field was ultimately delayed by a two-game suspension due to an eligibly issue stemming from his time at prep school prior to junior college. However, after Young did get on the field, he never let up.
