Ball with The Beast: SEC Week 12
Several out of conference games factor this week around the SEC going into Week 12 in the Ball with The Beast podcast presented by Wyatt Insurance. Tennessee is back home for their final two games with the top ranked Georgia Bulldogs come to town this week.
Around the league, Kentucky makes their way to Columbia to play South Carolina. Which Gamecock team will we see?
“How do you have a lot of confidence in South Carolina right now?” Paul Fortenberry said. “Yes they won a battle with Jacksonville State a couple of weeks ago but it’s hard to have a lot of confidence in them. Kentucky is still a good football team. We saw what they did against Tennessee. They made that a good game.”
Florida needs one more win to become bowl eligible while Missouri is looking to finish 10-2 and qualify a New Year’s six bowl matchup. It would be quite the turnaround for the Tigers, who throttled Tennessee last week.
“The one that stands out is 7:30 pm eastern in Columbia,” Brent Hubbs said. “You are talking about kickoff being in the mid to low 40s and it will fall down into the 30s during the game. I don’t know how excited Florida will be for that. I think that’s an interesting storyline. Florida does have something to play for but Missouri just has so much confidence right now.”

The Beast pick:
The matchup back here on Rocky Top is one that most feel like will be an easy Georgia win. Tennessee has been way better at home which should help their cause this week. Even with that said, Fortenberry sees a lot of red and black.
“I’m still shaken from watching Connor Cook on third down run for 18 yards,” Fortenberry said. “Georgia you have to take them. They are figuring out who they are. Beck is really good. After last week, I can’t get that out of my head.”
