The Ball with The Beast weekly podcast presented by Wyatt Insurance hits week two around the Southeastern Conference with some key non conference matchups. The game of the week is in Tuscaloosa for Texas at Alabama and Paul Fortenberry believes it has good game written all over it.
“This is a wild matchup to me,” Fortenberry said. “Alabama after the last six or seven year run of all the talent, this feels like not the desert but you are wondering who is going to be the guy? It doesn’t feel like they have the guys they have had. I think it hinders who Alabama is.”

Ole Miss traveling to New Orleans to play Tulane has trap game written all over it but the line opening up at just over a touchdown is to small for some.
“I saw the line was -7.5 but give Ole Miss 10 points,” Fortenberry said. “I get that Tulane had a nice magical season with a great bowl win but this isn’t that team. They have the same quarterback but quarterback isn’t what made this team go.”

Brent Hubbs was the only one of the three to go out on a limb in a swing game this week with his pick of Cal over Auburn. He has a bunch of belief in Cal head coach Justin Wilcox.
“I took Cal because Cal put points against North Texas,” Hubbs said. “Cal never scores is if they have some kind of offense there is a pulse. I do think Justin Wilcox remains a really good defensive coordinator and they stay in games they aren’t supposed to be in. It’s a rough road trip for the Auburn kids. If there is a chance for an upset it’s this one for me.”

As for this Saturday’s game at Neyland, it’s all Tennessee with lots of points.
“Tennessee, easy they run away,” Fortenberry said.
