Four-star EDGE Brian Robinson enjoys latest trip to Tennessee
Austintown (Ohio) Austintown Finch high school EDGE Brian Robinson made his second visit to Tennessee on Saturday as he wanted to take a deeper look at the program. Following the visit, he discussed the trip with Volquest.
“I had a great time up here,” Robinson said of the visit. “I got here this morning, got registered in, went to the position meetings, and got to see how they operate a little bit.”
Robinson spent his time with defensive line coach Rodney Garner and was impressed with how he coaches his position group.
“I spent my time with Coach Garner,” Robinson said of this. “Coach Garner is really hard on his kids. He will drill them, drill them, drill them, then make them go over it again and coach them up to show them how to fix it and this is what they need to do. They go over the playbook and revise it and learn it. They will come back in and keep going over it until they get it.”
He noted this type of coaching is “definitely” something he likes. Robinson spent time discussing his position fit and how Tennessee sees him as a true edge.
Robinson had been to Tennessee for a game day visit, but he wanted to take a deeper look at the facilities and culture around the program.
“It was wonderful,” he said of his first real look at the Tennessee facilities and campus. “Coaches are great. Facilities are great. There are great people here. I have been here for a game day before for Florida, too.”

Coming out of the weekend, Robinson is high on the Vols and hopes to return over the summer.
“They are a really good school,” Robinson said of his overall thoughts about Tennessee. “I mean, they really are. They have a wonderful community. Everybody is welcoming. I am just enjoying the recruiting process and am blessed to be in this place.”
Robinson does not have a timeline for a decision, but it is pretty simple what he wants to find in a school— development.
“Don’t coddle me. Don’t baby me or sugarcoat anything. Just be hard on me and develop me and make me the best player possible.”
Robinson is currently rated as the nation’s 146th overall prospect and 11th-best EDGE in the 2024 class, according to the On3 industry ratings.
