Three days after suffering their first defeat of the season, the basketball Vols got back on the winning side. Tennessee defeated Florida Gulf Coast 81-50 in front of the home crowd at Thompson Boling arena.
Olivier Nkamhoua scored 18 points and Josiah-Jordan James added 18 more to lead Tennessee (2-1). Julian Phillips had 11 points by doing most of his damage at the line.

James’ three-point shot also continued to look cleaner and more effective this year. He is a very solid 10-of-19 from three on the year.
