How To Watch: No. 4 Tennessee Basketball vs. No. 15 Missouri

No. 4 Tennessee ends its three-game homestand Wednesday against No. 15 Missouri. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. Eastern Time start at Food City Center in Knoxville and can be seen on SEC Network.

Tennessee (18-4, 5-4 SEC) bounced back from three losses in four games to beat No. 5 Florida 64-44 on Saturday. The Vols were dominant despite having just seven scholarship players available with Zakai Zeigler (knee) and Igor Milicic (illness) sidelined.

Both Zeigler and Milicic are available for Wednesday’s game after not being listed on the SEC Injury Report Tuesday night.

Missouri (17-4, 6-2) has won six of its last seven, including an 88-61 win at No. 14 Mississippi State on Saturday. The Tigers also won 83-82 at Florida on January 14 and have wins over LSU, Vanderbilt, Arkansas and Ole Miss during the current run.

KenPom Prediction: Tennessee 71, Missouri 72 (79% chance to win)

Tobe Awaka had 18 points and 10 rebounds and Dalton Knecht scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half, helping No. 5 Tennessee rally from down seven to beat Missouri 72-67 at Mizzou Arena in Columbia last February.

Jonas Aidoo finished with 14 points and four boards and Zakai Zeigler had 10 points and three assists.

Sean East II led Missouri with a game-high 24 points and Noah Carter scored another 20, with the two going a combined 12-for-25 from the field and 6-for-10 from the 3-point line. 

For Missouri it was a 13th straight loss in a run of 19 in a row to end the season. Mizzou went 0-18 in SEC play then lost to Georgia on the opening night of the SEC Tournament, finishing 8-24 on the season after 22 of their final 23 games following a 7-3 start. 

Mizzou currently projected as a No. 5 seed in NCAA Tournament

Mizzou ranked No. 21 in the NET and No. 23 overall in the KenPom.com ratings. The Tigers are a No. 5 seed in ESPN’s latest Bracketology update, one of 13 SEC teams currently projected to make the NCAA Tournament according to Joe Lunardi. Missouri on Tuesday was the No. 18 overall seed in Lunardi’s bracket.

Lunardi on Monday moved Tennessee back up to the No. 1-seed line as his No. 4 overall seed. 

Tennessee is No. 4 in the NET and No. 4 in KenPom. The Vols have a 5-4 record in Quad 1 games and, 3-0 records in Quad 2 and Quad 3 and a 7-0 record in Quad 4.

Holding Florida to 44 points put Tennessee back at No. 1 in adjusted defensive efficiency, giving up 85.5 points per 100 possessions. The Vols No. 40 in adjusted offensive efficiency, scoring 116.3 points per 100 possessions.
