There’s going to be an Orange & White flare to one of the most popular sports video games available when the new installment of MLB The Show 25 hits the market.

A new trailer that was released on Tuesday highlighted several colleges that appear to be a part of the video game. The ‘Road to the Show’ feature will allow players to begin in the high school ranks and college realm as amateurs, using metal bats.

College programs such as Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Texas, LSU, South Carolina, TCU, UCLA and Cal State Fullerton were seen during the promo video.

“Even a game as timeless as baseball must evolve,” the voiceover in the trailer said. “From the early years of high school to the thrill of college baseball, to the promise of the minors, only you can control your journey’s evolution.”

Fans can pre-order the video game now for the release on March 18. Early release of the video game is set for March 14.

Tennessee Vols in the 2025 Preseason Rankings

USA Today – No. 2
NCBWA – No. 2
Baseball America – No. 3
D1 Baseball – No. 4
Perfect Game – No. 5

For the second time in as many days, the Tennessee baseball program has received a No. 2 preseason ranking. On Tuesday, it was from the USA Today coaches poll.

The publication, which is one of the five national polls for college baseball, has the Vols second behind Texas A&M entering the 2025 campaign. Tennessee knocked off the Aggies last summer in an epic Finals Game 3 to capture the College World Series crown.

LSU, Virginia and Arkansas comprise the rest of the top-five while Florida State, Oregon State, North Carlina, Georgia and Florida round up the top-10. In total, 11 teams from the Southeastern Conference are ranked inside the preseason top-25 by the publication, including six in the top-10.

Tennessee already received preseason nods in the top-five from the NCBWA (No. 2), Baseball America (No. 3), D1 Baseball (No. 4) and Perfect Game (No. 5).
