Tennessee scored 38 unanswered points to blow past Missouri Saturday, 66-24. What sparked the Vols record-breaking offensive performance and how will it sit in the eyes of the College Football Playoff committee?

Former Vol Ramon Foster joined tonight’s Rocky Top Rewind to break it all down.

Vols set single-game program record with 724 yards of total offense

After Tennessee’s offense struggled at Georgia a week ago, the Vols passed for 460 yards and four touchdowns against Missouri and ran 37 times for 264 yards and five more touchdowns on the ground.

Tennessee ended the game with 38 unanswered points over the final 23 minutes, after Missouri pulled within 28-24 midway through the third quarter.

“There are some things (Missouri) had done,” Heupel said. “You look at what they’ve done over the course of the season, that’s a really good defense. One of the top ones in this conference. There are some things that they did that hurt us. There are some things that we did, too, on the offensive side of the football … we weren’t as clean as we could be in the first half, our guys don’t blink. Came back and played. I’m proud of that part of it, in particular.”

Tennessee looking for fourth-straight win over South Carolina

Tennessee hits the road for the final two games of the regular-season. The Vols and Gamecocks kick at 7 pm ET Saturday on ESPN.

Rattler has passed for 1,982 yards through 10 games, with eight touchdowns against nine interceptions. MarShawn Lloyd leads South Carolina on the ground with 100 attempts for 556 yards and nine touchdowns in eight games played. Antwane Wells Jr. is Rattler’s favorite target, leading the team with 41 receptions for 574 yards and four touchdowns.

Shane Beamer is 13-10 overall and 6-9 in SEC play in his second year at South Carolina. The Gamecocks are 6-4 (3-4 SEC) this season, with losses at Arkansas and at home against Georgia and Missouri.

The loss to Mizzou three weeks ago snapped a four-game winning streak, which included back-to-back victories at Kentucky and at home against Texas A&M.

South Carolina opened the season with a 35-14 win over Georgia State before dropping two straight to Arkansa and Georgia. The Gamecocks answered with wins over Charlotte and South Carolina State, then Kentucky and Texas A&M.
