Tennessee dominated its way to a 44-6 win over Kentucky Saturday night in a contest where the Vols won all three phases of the game. The Vols are now 8-0 with a 4-0 conference tally and await their biggest challenge in decades when this weekend rolls around between the hedges.
VFL Troy Fleming joined the Volquest crew for part of Sunday’s Rocky Top Rewind to touch on all of that and where the program is now just 21 games into the Josh Heupel era.
Vols tie for No. 2 in AP Poll
Following its fifth victory over a ranked opponent this season, the Volunteers moved up one spot into a tie with Ohio State at No. 2 in the latest AP Poll. Tennessee held on to its No. 3 ranking in the Coaches Poll for a second-straight week.

Tennessee’s second-place ranking in the AP is the highest-ranking since December 2, 2001 after it knocked off Florida prior to the SEC Championship game. Tennessee received 18 first-place votes while Ohio State, who pulled away from Penn State on the road with a strong fourth quarter Saturday, garnered 15 first-place votes.
The first instalment of the College Football Playoff Rankings this season will be unveiled Tuesday at 7 pm eastern time on ESPN.
