Rocky Top Roundtable: Georgia
Tennessee travels to Athens, Georgia on Saturday to battle a Bulldogs team that is playing for their playoff life. Ahead of the matchup, the crew from Volquest dives into the game and how Tennessee can win between the hedges. It all starts with the health of Nico Iamaleava and if he will play or not.
“I think this will go all the way up to game time,” Brent Hubbs said. “How much does he practice and where does Tennessee think he is? Obviously that changes a lot of the dynamics about this matchup. When you look at this matchup, it starts in the trenches. It’s a different Georgia team and it’s a Tennessee team a little bit beat up in the offensive line. Can Tennessee do some things against Georgia’s defensive front particularly in the run game that they haven’t been able to the last two or three years?”
Tennessee (8-1, 5-1 SEC) goes on the road to Georgia (7-2, 5-2) on Saturday night (7:30 Eastern Time, ABC) at Sanford Stadium in Athens.

No matter who the quarterback is, Tennessee has to be able to run the football.
“Tennessee needs to run the football,” Eric Cain said. “Dylan Sampson has been phenomenal all year long. He was not feeling 100% before or after the game after 30 carries. You hope DeSean Bishop will be ready to go. He has done pass pro on the road at Arkansas and Oklahoma.”
