Nine former Tennessee players appeared in the NBA Summer League
Vescovi was one of nine former Vols that played in the NBA Summer League.
Dalton Knecht, the No. 17 overall pick in the NBA Draft in June, led all rookies in scoring at 21.3 points per game.
Josiah-Jordan James, another former Tennessee fifth-year senior, signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Indiana Pacers, appearing in the team’s final three Summer League games. He averaged 1.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 11.7 minutes per game.
Knecht in three games averaged his 21.3 points per game on 41.8% shooting from the field and 39.1% shooting from the 3-point line. He also averaged 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals in 31.2 minutes per game.
Keon Johnson, the No. 21 overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft, averaged 16.0 points, 5.2 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals over five games with the Brooklyn Nets, shooting 47.5% from the field in his 29.2 minutes per game.
The Summer League production led to Brooklyn signing Johnson to a multi-year deal, after he previously played on a two-way contract with the franchise.
