Tennessee assistants Willie Martinez and Kurt Schmidt receives extensions

In addition to promoting, Levon “Chop” Harbin to outside linebackers coach, promoting special teams analyst Evan Crabtree to special teams coordinator, and hiring veteran special teams coach John Bonamego, Tennessee has reached new agreements with two returning coaches.
Tennessee cornerbacks coach Willie Martinez is receiving a two year extension. He will continue to make $540,000 a year.

Strength coach Kurt Schmidt is receiving a one year deal that will continue to pay him $475,000 annually.
Martinez and Schmidt both worked on expiring contracts last season. Tennessee last month announced a new three year deal with defensive coordinator Tim Banks. Banks will be paid 2.15 million a year as the Vols defensive head coach.
