Nashville athlete Kesean Bowman had an explosive sophomore season this past fall. Volquest caught up with him to talk Tennessee and his recruitment.

“You know it’s going pretty smooth,” Bowman said. “A lot of coaches been coming through the school just to talk to me and just getting to build relationships so I’ll say it’s pretty smooth right now.”

Bowman is a long wideout, who has speed and the range to be a game changer at the next level. He loves to work on his craft and says he brings a lot to the table.

“I say being able to be a good deep threat and being able to help move the ball for my team and just being able to stay in the position to where I can get the ball when I get out open and also blocking helped us a lot,” Bowman said. “And the  I would say being able to like contribute also on defense when my team needs me.”

Tennessee signee George MacIntyre was his quarterback at Brentwood Academy. He will have to adjust to a new signal-caller this coming season but he loved playing with MacIntyre.

“Oh, that’s great having an elite quarterback helps me get better and help him get better as well so just being able to have an elite quarterback just helps me just doing what I can do to just be the best player I can be,” Bowman said. “With George being one of the top rated players in Tennessee kind of helps me get like recognized as well when we both make plays in big times in big games as well.”

And MacIntyre has been working on him for sometime to join him in Knoxville. Bowman loves it up on Rocky Top.

“I love Tennessee,” Bowman said. “Just the coaches are amazing coach I talk to Coach (Kelsey) Pope a lot, but I love the coaches up there in Tennessee just great relationships with them up there like with coach (Josh) Heupel. I look forward to getting back up there.”

In the meantime, he will be working on his craft. It’s all about improving and making himself bigger faster, and stronger.

“There’s always a room for improvement,” Bowman said. “Just keep working and then just getting the detailed small details down and just keep working and excelling as much as I can.”
