Tennessee’s basketball team continues with their winning ways as the Vols have won seven straight since losing in Nashville to Colorado on November 13th.
Wednesday night, Rick Barnes‘ team again played terrific defense in dispatching Eastern Kentucky 84-49. The Vols held the Eastern Kentucky to just 22% from the field as they made just 15 field goals on the night.
Offensively, the Vols were again without Santiago Vescovi, who’s dealing with a shoulder sprain, but freshman Julian Phillips continues to show. Phillips had 16 points and 10 rebounds. The Vols made a living at the free throw line going 31 of 41, both Phillips and Zakai Zeigler got to the line 10 times. Tennessee finished with 5 Vols in double figures.
