Tennessee saw a ton of top recruits roll into town this weekend and Vol commitment Jaedon Harmon was one of the four official visitors for the Alabama game.

“Oh, it’s been a great visit,” Harmon said. “You know, just getting to experience an electric environment, two great teams playing and obviously two teams I’ve been looking at. With the results of the game and just being around the players, it just helped me, let me know that I made the right decision to choose a Tennessee.”

Harmon found himself down on the field when the fans came onto the field after the game. He saw the cigar smoke flowing through Neyland Stadium and got to see a wild scene in the locker room after.

“It was just a surreal experience, you know, something that I wanna be a part of,” Harmon said. “Getting a bigtime win like that and everybody being a part of it, the community and stuff. It was really cool to see.”

During the game, he was watching the Tennessee linebackers like Arion Carter and Jeremiah Telander.

“I watched Arion and Telander,” Harmon said. “I loved it. Arion and I, we play a lot, a like. I like fast and physical, great instincts and stuff like that. Telander too.”

He also spent a bunch of his time with linebackers coach William Inge this weekend.

“Oh, it was great,” Harmon said of Inge. “Coach Inge is a great guy, I enjoy hanging around with him. He’s a pretty funny dude and you know, he just not only cares about how good you are as a football player, but how you are as a person, how you’re doing and stuff like that.”

Being able to see Tennessee’s defense in person the last two weeks has been good for Harmon. The way that side of the ball has been playing gets him excited,

“I don’t know, they just been playing at an elite level and that’s something I wanna be a part of because that was one of my questions, like when I was kinda questioned about Tennessee, how’s their defense gonna be?” Harmon said. “And it’s just been an elite the whole season.”

A group led by defensive coordinator Tim Banks and head coach Josh Heupel, who both have impressed Harmon.

“He is just pretty laid back dude, you know, pretty chill guy, you know what I’m saying? We communicate pretty often and just seems like a cool guy. Like Coach Heupel.

Coach Heupel is a really cool coach. You know, he, he’s pretty down to earth. You can relate to him a lot. He’s not just strictly for football or a serious guy, you know, when you see him, hang around him and just conversate with him, he is a great guy.”

Asked if he shutting his recruitment down after these last two weekends?

“Yes sir, locked in,” Harmon said.

Which means it’s all about adding to this class.

“Yes sir. Put on my recruiting boots for a second,” Harmon said. “Hopefully, we can get something to come.”
