Tennessee looking to turn the page as they prepare for UTEP
Tennessee is back to work preparing for the their final game at Neyland Stadium as the Vols host UTEP Saturday afternoon at 1pm.
Defensively, the Vols are looking to get back to being offensive after the defense didn’t sack or hit Georgia quarterback Carson Beck.
“It’s difficult. We were disappointed after the game. At the end of the day we have to make sure we don’t put ourselves in that position,” linebacker Jalen Smith said. “We have to come out and fight stronger and fight better. We have to execute and make sure we focus on the right things.”

Offensively, Tennessee was shut out in the second half in a limited possession game. For the Vol offense, everything Saturday night felt hard. Head coach Josh Heupel said the offense did some good things but didn’t do the little things well enough for sixty minutes. Tight end Miles Kitselman who had two catches and a rushing touchdown on the opening dive said for him everything is about moving forward.
“Georgia is a great team. We knew they were going to throw some punches. We knew we would have to get back up and throw some of our own. We didn’t execute as well as we needed to in order to get the job done. Georgia has a really good defense but there were tons of plays out there where we shot ourselves in the foot.
“I have already flushed the loss. I’m really ready to stop talking about it. I’m ready to move on.”
