Tennessee is set to host several transfer portal possibilities over the next several days through the weekend. The first to arrive Arizona defensive lineman Isaiah Johnson, who will arrive later today and be here on Friday to check out the Vols.

Tennessee is also scheduled to host Indiana transfer defensive lineman Marcus Burris, Jr. He has played the last two seasons at Indiana Burris had 34 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. Burris started his college career at Texas A&M. He will arrive on Friday and leave on Saturday.

Grand Valley State defensive lineman Josh Schell will be here this weekend. Schell is a 6-4, 270 pound defensive lineman who had 35 tackles, 3 for loss and 2 sacks last season. Volquest noted on the General’s Quarters Tuesday night that Schell was likely to be a weekend visitor and that is set to happen.

Tennessee hosted Western Michigan Mason Nelson on Monday and Tuesday. Nelson left impressed with what he saw on his visit he told Volquest. Tennessee didn’t push very hard there and he committed to Vanderbilt on Wednesday.

The search for a wide receiver to give the room more depth continues and will see multiple options roll into town over the next few days.

The Vols are scheduled to host BYU transfer receiver Keelan Marion this weekend. Marions is originally from Georgia and had 24 catches for 346 yards last season playing in Provo.

McNeese State wide receiver Jer’Michael Carter is supposed to visit Tennessee early next week. Last year at McNeese, he totaled 37 receptions for 537 yards and three touchdowns.

Kelsey Pope has been on the road recruiting, while also talking to a few that are in the portal about joining a room with only seven scholarship wideouts.

The last day players can declare for the transfer portal is on Friday, but obviously there is no timeline to make a decision on what school you choose to attend.
