Before arriving on Rocky Top, Albert who is a South Carolina native was at Missouri. He also worked with Danny White’s brother, Brian White as the Deputy AD at Florida Atlantic University.

Alpert also worked at Memphis earlier in his career. Alpert was on Memphis list in their recent search for an AD, but Alpert pulled his name out of consideration for that job.

“Ryan is truly one of the rising stars in our profession,” Tennessee Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Danny White said when he hired Alpert. “I couldn’t be more excited to add him to a talented, competitive administrative team that is committed to building a bold and bright future for Tennessee Athletics. I’m thrilled to welcome the Alpert family to Rocky Top.”

On Tuesday, White publicly congratulated Alpert on his now position.
