Tennessee is one of just two teams that reached the postseason in all seven major sports during the 2022-23 athletic season. Only Tennessee and Texas reached the postseason in football, men’s basketball, men’s baseball, women’s basketball, softball and volleyball, according to FootballScoop.

Tennessee baseball on Monday officially made the NCAA Tournament as a No. 2 seed in the Clemson Regional. The Vols (38-19) play Charlotte (34-26), the No. 3 seed in the four-team bracket, on Friday at 6 p.m. Eastern Time on ESPNU at Clemson’s Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

Tennessee softball (49-8), after winning the SEC regular-season championship and SEC Tournament title, is in the Women’s College World Series after winning the Knoxville Regional over the weekend. The Lady Vols, the No. 4 overall seed in the field, will play No. 5 Alabama on Thursday (1 p.m. Eastern Time; TV: ESPN) in Oklahoma City.

Tennessee football in Year 2 under Josh Heupel won 10 games in the regular season for the first time since 2003 and won 11 games in total for the first time since 2001. The Vols beat Clemson 31-14 in the Capital One Orange Bowl at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami in December after reaching a New Year’s Six Bowl Game for the first time during the College Football Playoff era.

Tennessee men’s basketball finished 25-11 and went to the Sweet 16 before losing to Florida Atlantic in the East Region semifinal at Madison Square Garden. The Vols beat Louisiana in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Amway Arena in Orlando and took down Duke to advance to the third round.

The Lady Vols went 25-12 and made their own run to the Sweet 16, beating Saint Louis and Toledo in the opening two rounds at Thompson-Boling Arena. Their season ended at the hands of Virginia Tech in a 73-64 loss in Seattle.
