Tennessee skipper Tony Vitello has announced the complete 2025 baseball schedule for the reigning national champions. The slate will be highlighted by 37 home games at the partially (and still ongoing) renovated Lindsey Nelson Stadium this spring.

Tennessee, who capped the 2024 Southeastern Conference schedule with a 22-8 record (60-13 overall) while sweeping both the regular season and SEC Tournament championships en route to the first national championship in program history, will take on 12 NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago while three of the five home conference series feature 2024 College World Series programs.

The Vols will not play the two new additions to the 16-team conference – Texas nor Oklahoma – during the course of the regular season. With the new conference layout, each SEC team will continue playing 10 conference three-game series. Tennessee’s permanent opponents are Alabama and Vanderbilt.

The Vols kickoff the campaign by welcoming Hofstra for a weekend series beginning on February 14. The first midweek contest of the season will be the following Thursday (February 20) against UNC Asheville prior to a three-game series with Samford that weekend. Tennessee will challenge North Alabama on Tuesday, February 25 before hitting the road for the Astros Foundation College Classic the weekend that follows.

UT will square off against Oklahoma State, Rice and Arizona from Minute Maid Park in Houston, TX. during the showcase. The Cowboys (11-overall seed) and Wildcats (13-overall seed) both hosted regionals last postseason. The entire nonconference portion of the 2025 schedule for Tennessee – excluding this event – will be played at home.

Midweek contests versus Radford (March 4), Xavier (March 5) and West Georgia (March 11), along with a weekend set against St. Bonaventure (March 7-9), set the scene for the conference opening series at Lindsey Nelson Stadium against Florida on from March 14-16.

Once in conference play, Tennessee will welcome ETSU, Queens, Tennessee Tech, Bellarmine, Lipscomb, Northern Kentucky, Indiana State and Belmont to Lindsey Nelson Stadium for midweek contests. The Norse were the 4-seed in the Knoxville Regional last summer while the Sycamores were the 2-seed in the Kentucky Regional.

The Norse were the 4-seed in the Knoxville Regional last summer while the Sycamores were the 2-seed in the Kentucky Regional.

Following the SEC lid-lifting series against the Gators, the Vols hit the road at Alabama (March 21-23) and stay away from Knoxville for a series at South Carolina from March 28-30.

A rematch of the 2024 College World Series Finals boasts Texas A&M and Tennessee in Knoxville from April 4-6 before the Vols hit the road again for a series at Ole Miss that begins on April 11. The Rebels won the 2022 CWS Finals, but it was the Vols who outlasted the Aggies in Game 3 this past summer for the 6-3 victory that claimed the program’s first national championship.

Tennessee returns home April 18 to welcome Kentucky before hitting the road again to take on LSU from April 25-27. The Vols then host back-to-back series from Lindsey Nelson Stadium against Auburn (May 2-4) and Vanderbilt (May 9-11) before concluding the regular season on the road at Arkansas (May 15-17).

The SEC Tournament, that will feature a new single-elimination format, will once again take place at the Hoover Metropolitan Complex in Hoover, Ala. from May 20-25.

All of Tennessee’s home nonconference games (midweeks included) will be streamed on the SEC Network+. The Vols will be the home team in the first game at the Astros Foundation College Classic and the away team in the final two ballgames.
