Tennessee, powered behind a seven-run second inning, took care of Bellarmine in midweek action, 20-5 the final score on a Tuesday night from Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

The No. 4 Vols (31-6) plated the seven runs in the second to go along with one run each in the third and fourth, three in the sixth and five more in the seventh. The Knights (6-30) found some success with a four-run third inning, but ultimately couldn’t overcome the Volunteer arms on the mound.

Matthew Dallas (1-0) earned his first career win while tossing a scoreless 1.1 inning of relief. Cooper Hellman (1-3) is the loser on the night after allowing six runs off three hits without picking up an out in his appearance from the bullpen.

Tennessee hits the road this week in its return to Southeastern Conference play at No. 3 Kentucky. But first, here’s how it all went down on a Tuesday night for the Volunteers.
