Tennessee just swept its 13th nonconference series since the 2020 season after run-ruling Bowling Green in all three games over the weekend. The Vols (11-1) have won 10-straight games and all nine played at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
UT is back in action for a pair of midweek contests against Kansas State (Tuesday) and Southern Indiana (Wednesday) before hosting Illinois over the weekend as the final tune-up series ahead of SEC play. Tennessee currently owns the best record of any program in the SEC East with an 11-1 overall mark.
Amick’s award is the second of the season for the Big Orange as AJ Causey was named Co-SEC Pitcher of the Week following the first weekend of the season.
