Knoxville Super Regional finale updated game time
Due to inclement weather around the University of Tennessee, start time between the Vols and Evansville for game three of the Knoxville Super Regional will be delayed.
A new first pitch time has been announced for 7:06 pm ET, of course, subject to change.
The No. 1 overall seeded Volunteers (54-12) will be the home team in the contest and are seeking their third trip to Omaha for the College World Series in the past four seasons. The Purple Aces (39-25) are looking to secure their first ever appearance in the Greatest Show on Dirt.

Tennessee took game one on Friday 11-6 behind four home runs and a strong relief appearance from AJ Causey. The Aces stole game two 10-8, though the Vols nearly battled back from down five in the ninth inning with the tying run standing on second base. UT belted three first inning home runs on Saturday but couldn’t hold the lead as Evansville poured on 10 runs in the middle-three frames.
Senior left-handed hurler Zander Sechrist (3-1, 3.60 ERA) will make the start for the Big Orange and it will be an all-hands on deck approach from the bullpen on both sides for this do-or-die contest. Lefty Kevin Reed (5-2, 7.38 ERA) will get the ball first for the Purple Aces.
