How it Happened: AJ Causey & HRs combine for 11-1 run-rule win against Bowling Green
Tennessee handled business in a big way over Bowling Green Friday night, topping the Falcons 11-1 in game one of the series in eight innings.
The Vols (9-1) have now won eight-streak ballgames and all seven games played at the friendly confines of Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Falcons (2-5) scored one run on a second inning Tyler Ross home run while UT plated the nine runs on eight hits.
AJ Causey (2-0) earned the victory in his first Tennessee start after going seven innings of one run, one-hit baseball where he struck out nine batters on just 78 pitches. DJ Newman (1-2) is the loser on the mound after allowing five runs (4 ER) on four hits with five strikeouts and two walks. These two teams will be back at it again on Saturday for a 5 pm eastern time first pitch.
