How it Happened: Vols power past Lipscomb 10-0 with home runs & shutout arms
Tennessee returned to normal fashion on the midweek, cruising to the 10-0 victory over Lipscomb in the final tune-up prior to Southeastern Conference play beginning this weekend.
The Vols (15-3) used a five-run second inning to blow the game wide open and the plated another in the fourth and two apiece in the fifth and sixth on the fiery night at the plate. Hunter Ensley, Maui Ahuna and Dylan Drieling all homered in the win as Tennessee managed 11 hits on the night.
Aaron Combs (2-0) is credited with the victory as he was second out of the bullpen and worked a clean 1.2 innings in relief. Chandler Giles (0-2) takes home the loss after allowing four runs on just two-thirds of an inning.
