How it Happened: The bats explode in Tennessee’s 11-5 win over Baylor
ARLINGTON, TX – Tennessee erased an early deficit and charged back for the six-run win over Baylor. The Vols finished the Shriners Children’s College Showdown with a 11-5 final score dismantling of the Bears.
UT (2-1) racked up 11 runs off 12 hits on the night while Baylor (0-3) managed five runs off eight hits while committing two errors defensively. The Vols return home for the Lindsey Nelson Stadium season-opener on Tuesday with UNC Ashville at 4:30 pm eastern time.
Nate Snead (1-0) picked up the win for the Big Orange after tossing five innings in relief, allowing two runs off four hits with four strikeouts and five walks. Kobe Andrade (0-1) is charged with the loss after surrendering five runs off three hits with two strikeouts and a walk.
