How it Happened: Tennessee irons out clean 7-0 midweek victory over Western Carolina
Tennessee returned to form Tuesday night, though it was from a bevy of newcomers to the lineup. Regardless, the Vols blanked Western Carolina 7-0 to snap its three-game losing skid and to pick up some positive momentum prior to returning to league play this weekend with Texas A&M coming to town.
The Vols powered seven runs on seven hits and broke the game open with a four-run fourth inning. The Catamounts failed to score a run with only four hits in the outing. Aaron Combs (3-0) is the winner for the Volunteers out of the bullpen while Dante Visconti (2-2) was charged with the loss after allowing one run on three innings.
How did it all go down? We take a closer look at Tennessee’s win over Western Carolina below.
