After Tuesday’s game, Tennessee won’t be back in its home gym for a game until George Mason comes to Knoxville on December 5.

The Vols, coming off the 80-70 win at Wisconsin on Friday night, play three games in three days next week in the Maui Invitational, starting with Syracuse on Monday (2:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2), then go to North Carolina to close out the month on December 29.

Wofford, playing on the road for the first time this season, beat High Point 99-98 at home on Saturday and opened the season with an 85-68 win over Brevard. The Terriors lost an exhibition game at South Carolina, 60-57, on November 1.

Last Time Out

Dalton Knecht continued to star for the Vols with a game-high 24 points in the win at Wisconsin. Jordan Gainey again provided instant offense off the bench with 10 points. Josiah-Jordan James had 14 and Jonas Aidoo scored another 10. Tobe Awaka scored six important points in the second half, helping Tennessee hold off a Wisconsin run after the Badgers cut the deficit to three points.

Tennessee struggled for stretches early in the second half, but got all the separation it needed with a 9-2 run to quiet the Badgers for good. The lead was just three when Knecht drove baseline, hung in the air and finished at the rim while getting foul.

The 3-point play was followed by back-to-back paint buckets from Awaka before an Aidoo layup made it a 10-point game with 4:45 left, silencing the home crowd and giving Tennessee its biggest lead of the game.
