Live Updates: No. 8 Tennessee vs. Austin Peay
Tennessee basketball is back home to host Austin Peay Wednesday in the final game before the Christmas break. The Vols and Governors are scheduled for a 6 p.m. Eastern Time start. The game is not televised but can be watched as an online live stream through SEC Network+ or ESPN+.

After the 75-70 loss at No. 5 Arizona on Saturday night, Tennessee (9-2) dropped two spots in the updated Associated Press Top 25 to No. 8. The Vols are No. 3 overall in the KenPom.com ratings, remaining at No. 1 in adjusted offensive efficiency and now No. 49 in adjusted offensive efficiency.
Austin Peay (6-6), No. 236 overall in the KenPom ratings, is coming off a 68-60 loss at Murray State on Friday night. The Governors have losses against NC State, Purdue, Bucknell, Howard and Western Kentucky, along with Murray State. They have wins this season over Milligan, South Florida, Albany, Tennessee State, Kentucky Christian and Lindsey Wilson.

Tennessee will break for Christmas following the Austin Peay game, will return to Knoxville on Christmas Day and then open SEC play at Ole Miss on Wednesday, December 28. It’s a 5 p.m. ET start at The Pavilion at Ole Miss in Oxford.
The Vols will host Mississippi State on January 3 in the SEC home opener at Thompson-Boling Arena.
The January SEC schedule for Tennessee also includes home games against Vanderbilt (January 10), Kentucky (January 14) and Georgia (January 25). The Vols play at South Carolina (January 7), at Mississippi State (January 17) at LSU (January 21).
Texas, the final non-conference game on schedule, will be played January 28 at Thompson-Boling Arena in the Big 12-SEC Challenge.
