Tennessee Basketball’s Jahmai Mashack has received an invitation to the NBA’s G League Elite Camp this weekend at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. Igor Milicic Jr. also received an invite, but Zakai Zeigler was not one of the 45 players invited to the event

A select number of standouts from the G League camp will earn invites to the NBA Draft Combine. The NBA Draft will be held June 25 at Barclays Center in New York.

The 6-foot-4, 202-pound Mashack, from Fontana, Calif., played in 137 games over the last four seasons at Tennessee, averaging 4.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game while becoming known as one of the best perimeter defenders in the country.

Mashack was a finalist for the 2025 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Award and was on the 2025 SEC All-Defensive Team.

Chaz Lanier on Friday received an invitation to the NBA Draft Combine, which will be held May 11-18 in Chicago. He’s projected as the No. 41 overall pick in ESPN’s latest NBA mock draft, going to the Golden State Warriors in the second round.

Chaz Lanier, Igor Milicic Jr. ranked in ESPN’s top 100 for NBA Draft

Lanier and Milicic are both ranked in ESPN’s top 100 prospects for the NBA Draft. ESPN’s Jonathan Givony recently ranked Lanier at No. 42 overall and Milicic at No. 94 overall ahead of this summer’s NBA Draft.

Milicic, who transferred to Tennessee from Charlotte last spring, averaged 9.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 25.4 minutes per game in his only season with the Vols, starting all 37 games he played in.

Lanier starred for the Vols after headlining Tennessee’s NCAA Transfer Portal class — the Nashville native picked his home-state school over Kentucky and BYU — averaging 18.0 points and 3.9 rebounds while shooting 39.5% from the 3-point line and 43.1% from the field.

He broke Tennessee’s single-season 3-point record, previously held by Chris Lofton, by making 123 threes in 38 games.

Chaz Lanier had breakout season at North Florida before transfer to Tennessee

Lanier had a breakout senior year at North Florida in 2023-24, averaging 19.7 points per game and making 108 threes in 32 games, shooting a career-high 44.0% from the 3-point line.

Lanier won the Jerry West Award on Saturday, given annually to college basketball’s best shooting guard, and was also named third-team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches and The Sporting News.

He was also named an All-American by the Wooden Award, was First Team All-SEC and won the SEC’s Newcomer of the Year award.
