Where Tennessee Basketball is ranked after winning the Baha Mar Championship
Tennessee Basketball on Monday moved up three spots to No. 6 in the new Coaches Poll and four spots to No. 7 in the updated Associated Press Top 25 after the wins over Virginia and Baylor last week.
Tennessee (6-0) is back home to host UT Martin (2-4) on Wednesday, a 4 p.m. Eastern Time start at Food City Center streaming on SEC Network+.
Syracuse comes to Knoxville next week for the SEC-ACC Challenge on December 3, the the Vols go back on the road for a neutral-site game against Miami on December 10 in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden in New York, then to Illinois on December 14.
Tennessee was ranked No. 12 in the preseason AP Top 25, moved up to No. 11 in Week 2 and stayed there last week. The Vols were also No. 12 in the preseason Coaches Poll, moved up to No. 9 two weeks ago and stayed there last week.
Last Time Out: Baha Mar Champions
Tennessee leaned on heavy doses of Chaz Lanier in a 64-42 win over Virginia and a 77-62 win over Baylor to win the Baha Mar Championship in The Bahamas.
Lanier scored 18 of his 26 points in the second half against Virginia on Thursday night, then scored all of his 25 points in the first half against Baylor on Friday to carry the Vols to the title in the four-team tournament.
His second-half outburst against Virginia helped Tennessee outscore the Cavaliers by 21 after halftime. He picked up where he left off against Baylor, starting a blistering 5-for-5 from the 3-point line in the first four minutes of the game to help the Vols build a 16-2 lead out of the gate.

Lanier for the season is now averaging a team-high 17.7 points per game while shooting 54.8% from the 3-point line and 48.8% from the floor.
Tennessee down two players due to injury
Tennessee sophomore center JP Estrella didn’t play in The Bahamas and is out for the year with a season-ending surgery on his foot. Sophomore wing Cam Carr is out 4-6 weeks with a left thumb injury suffered in the second half Sunday in the 103-68 win over Austin Peay.
Estrella, the 6-foot-11, 241-pounder from Scarborough, Maine, is averaging 4.7 points and 2.7 points rebounds in 10.0 minutes per game. Carr is averaging 4.8 points and 1.5 rebounds in 10.3 minutes per game off the bench so far this season.
The Vols did get back Darlinstone Dubar during The Bahamas trip. The Hofstra wing missed the first four games of the season due to a personal matter, but played 11 minutes off the bench against Virginia and 12 against Baylor, combining for seven points, seven rebounds an assist and a steal.
