Tennessee Basketball makes final 12 for 2025 five-star power forward, No. 5 overall prospect

Tennessee Basketball is in the one of the final 12 programs still alive in the recruitment of 2025 five-star Chris Cenac, according to On3’s Joe Tipton. The 6-foot-10, 210-pound prospect is the No. 5 overall player in the country and the No. 2 power forward. 

Cenac is a New Orleans native who attends Link Academy in Missouri. The Vols are in his final 12 alongside Arkansas, Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Houston, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Michigan State, Tennessee, Texas, and UConn.

“I’m looking for a school that will develop me the most and help me get to the next level,” Cenac told On3’s Jamie Shaw during a recent interview. “I’ll want to have a great relationship with the coaches, trust there. And I’ll want to be looking for an NBA type system, spreading the floor, playing four or five out.”

Cenac has not scheduled any official visits, but he has made unofficial visits to LSU and Houston. Tipton reported the Cenac plans to commit to a school by January or February. 

“I’m open to any school around the country really,” he told Shaw, “location won’t matter.”

Official visitors expected to be hosted by the Vols this fall

Tennessee has multiple official visits scheduled for the fall, including four-star shooting guard Darius Adams (September 13), four-star small forward Tounde Yessoufou, four-star point guard Isaiah Dennis (October 11) and four-star shooting guard Braylon Mullins (October 19), along with other possible visitors.

Adams is the No. 18 overall player in the 2025 class according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He’s the No. 6 shooting guard and the No. 2 player in the state of Indiana, where he attends La Lumiere School.

Dennis, a 6-foot-5, 170-pound prospect out of Davidson Day School in Davidson, N.C., is the No. 81 overall player in the On3 Industry Ranking. He’s the No. 14 point guard int he 2025 class and the No. 3 overall player in the state of North Carolina. 

Mullins, a 6-foot-4, 180-pound shooting guard out of Greenfield-Central School in Greenfield, Indiana, is the No. 26 overall player in the class. He’s ranked No. 8 among shooting guards and No. 3 overall in Indiana. 

Tennessee Basketball has one commitment in 2025 class

The Vols currently have one commitment in the 2025 recruiting class, from four-star center Dewayne Brown.

The 6-foot-9, 235-pound prospect out of Hoover, Alabama, committed to Tennessee on April 20.

Brown is ranked No. 103 overall in the On3 Industry Ranking and is the No. 10 center in the country and the No. 1 player in the state of Alabama.
