Dates for six Tennessee Basketball SEC games finalized

Tennessee Basketball has officially finished its 2024-25 schedule with dates confirmed for six Southeastern Conference game: January 7 at Florida; January 15 vs. Georgia, February 5 vs. Missouri; February 11 at Kentucky; February 25 at LSU; March 5 at Ole Miss.

The Florida game was previously announced for January 7 or 8. Georgia was either January 14 or 15 and Missouri was February 4 or 5. Kentucky was February 11 or 12, LSU was February 25 or 26 and Ole Miss was either March 4 or 5.

Tennessee opens SEC play against Arkansas at Food City Center on January 4.

After going to Florida, the Vols will play at Texas on January 11, then host Georgia. They go to Vanderbilt on January 18 and host Mississippi State on January 21. Tennessee goes to Auburn on January 25 and hosts Kentucky on January 28 to end the month. 

February starts with a home dates against Florida on February 1 before the Vols go to Oklahoma on February 8. Tennessee hosts Vanderbilt on February 15 and are then off until playing at Texas A&M on February 22.

Tennessee’s final three regular-season games are in March. The Vols play Alabama at home on March 1, go to Ole Miss and will have senior day at home against South Carolina on March 8.

Tennessee’s non-conference schedule

The 2024-25 season will start on November 4 at home against Gardner-Webb, starting a non-conference schedule that includes games against Louisville, Syracuse, Miami and Illinois. 

The Vols on Friday released their full non-conference schedule, including eight home games out of the 12 total non-conference games. 

Tennessee goes to Louisville on November 9, the start of a two-year home-and-home between the two programs that was announced in June. The Vols host Syracuse on December 3, in the second edition of the ACC-SEC Challenge.

Date time, start set for Tennessee-Miami in Jimmy V Classic

Tennessee will play Miami in the Jimmy V Classic on December 10 at Madison Square Garden in New York. It will be a 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time start on ESPN.

Tennessee goes to Illinois on December 14 in the second game of a home-and-home series. The Vols beat the Illini 86-79 in Knoxville last season. 

Virginia is the first-round opponent in the Continental Tire Baha Mar Championship on November 21 in the Bahamas. Tennessee is part of a four-team field that als includes Baylor and St. John’s. 

Other Tennessee home games in November include Montana on November 13, Austin Peay on November 17 and UT Martin on November 27. In December the Vols host Western Kentucky on December 17, Middle Tennessee State on December 23 and Norfolk State on December 31.
