Tennessee Basketball has sold out its season-ticket inventory of 14,500 for a second straight year, the Vols announced on Tuesday. It’s the sixth straight full-capacity season that the Vols have sold 13,000 or more season tickets.

Tennessee opens the 2024-25 season at home against Gardner-Webb on November 4. The home schedule is highlighted by games against Syracuse, Arkansas, Kentucky and Alabama, as well as a preseason charity exhibition game against Indiana on October 27.

The Vols announced season tickets were sold out last year on November 1. They went on to set a single-season program record with eight home sellouts, including the final four games at Food City Center. There were five sellouts during the 2022-23 season, tying the previous program record.

Tennessee set program record with eight sellout crowds last season

Tennessee last season played in front of capacity crowds of 21,678 against Illinois, Alabama, LSU and Vanderbilt. Four games were above capacity: Auburn (22,547), Texas A&M (22,322), Kentucky (22,206) and Ole Miss (21,932).

Entering last season, the Vols had finished in the top five in national attendance in the previous four non-COVID-impacted seasons. They’ve been top 20 in attendance for 19 straight years.

Tennessee men’s and women’s basketball also had the highest combined attendance of any basketball programs during the 2022-23 season, totaling 451,142 fans.

The Vols have played 36 home games in front of crowds of 20,000 or more during the Rick Barnes era.

Tennessee athletics in 2022-23 was the only program to rank in the top 10 in average home attendance for football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball.

Indiana, Syracuse, Arkansas, Kentucky and Alabama highlight Tennessee’s home schedule

Tennessee Football has sold out season tickets at Neyland Stadium two years in a row and, as of April, had a season-ticket interest list that had more than 15,000 names. The Vols have sold out 13 straight home football games and have sold out the first six home games this season, beginning with Saturday’s season opener against Chattanooga.

Tennessee Basketball on Tuesday announced a charity exhibition game against Indiana that will be played at Food City Center on October 27. Start time and television information have not yet been determined.

The Vols host Syracuse on December 3 in the second annual SEC-ACC Challenge. Tennessee lost at North Carolina in the SEC-ACC Challenge debut last December.

Tennessee opens SEC play at home against Arkansas and new Razorbacks head coach John Calipari on January 4. Kentucky comes to Knoxville on January 28 and the Vols host Alabama on March 1. The regular-season finale is at home against South Carolina on March 8.
