No. 11 Tennessee is back home to host South Carolina on Saturday at Thompson-Boling Arena, looking to snap out of its current skid of four losses over the last five games. Tipoff against the Gamecocks is scheduled for a 6 p.m. Eastern Time start on SEC Network.

The Vols (20-8, 9-6 SEC) lost 68-63 at Texas A&M on Tuesday, the fourth loss in five games and fifth over the last seven, dating back to the 67-54 loss at Florida on February 1. South Carolina (10-18, 3-12) has bounced back from an eight-game losing streak to go 2-2 over the last four games, taking No. 2 Alabama to overtime Wednesday at Colonial Life Arena before falling 78-76.

A closer look at South Carolina

South Carolina is No. 221 overall in the KenPom.com ratings, the lowest ranked SEC team. The Gamecocks are 230th in adjusted defensive efficiency, giving up 107.4 points per 100 possessions, and are 198th offensively, scoring 103.6 points per 100 possessions.

Tennessee beat South Carolina 82-45 at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia on January 7. Olivier Nkamhoua scored 21 points and added 10 rebounds, finishing 10-for-10 from the field, and Santiago Vescovi had 12 points, with four rebounds and four assists. Jonas Aidoo scored 15 points off the bench and Josiah-Jordan James added 12 points in just 17 minutes.

The Vols held South Carolina five-star freshman forward GG Jackson scoreless in his 22 minutes, as he went 0-for-8 from the field, including 0-for-4 from the 3-point line. Guard Meechie Johnson led the Gamecocks in the loss, scoring 19 points in 31 minutes. 

South Carolina bounced back from the Tennessee loss by beating Kentucky at Rupp Arena three days later, but then lost eight straight. The Gamecocks are 2-2 over their last four, beating ole Miss, losing at home to Vanderbilt, winning at LSU and taking Alabama to overtime in a 78-76 loss Wednesday night in Columbia.
