A closer look at Tennessee Football's growing list of 2026 commitments
Tennessee Football added two new commits on Thursday, flipping 2025 in-state linebacker Brenden Anes, a former Wisconsin commitment, while also adding another in-state prospect in 2026 wide receiver Tyreek King.
Josh Heupel’s 2025 recruiting class is now up to 24 commitments and is ranked No. 8 nationally and No. 6 in the SEC with a class score of 91.59.
The 2026 class is starting to come to life with five commitments of its own, including three added since October 20. The group is ranked No. 4 nationally and No. 2 in the SEC with a class score of 92.84.
Here’s a closer look at Tennessee’s growing 2026 class after adding its latest commitment on Thursday:
5-star QB Faizon Brandon
The class started with its headliner, with Tennessee getting a commitment from five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon on August 3. The 6-foot-3.5, 195-pound Brandon, out of Greensboro, N.C., is ranked No. 6 overall in the class in the On3 Industry Ranking. He’s the No. 2 quarterback nationally and the No. 1 prospect in the state of North Carolina.

4-star WR Tyreek King
The addition of four-star wide receiver Tyreek King on Thursday made him the No. 2 prospect in Tennessee’s 2026 class, according to the rankings. King, listed at 6-foot, 170 pounds is ranked No. 60 overall in the On3 ratings, which also has him as the No. 6 wide receiver in the class and the No. 1 player in the state of Tennessee, out of Knoxville’s Catholic High School.
4-star TE Carson Sneed
Tennessee added its second commitment in the class in four-star tight end Carson Sneed only two days after Faizon Brandon committed back in August. The 6-foot-6, 215-pound Sneed is the No. 215 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking. He’s the No. 11 tight end in the class and the No. 6 prospect in the state of Tennessee, out of Nashville’s Donelson Christian Academy.
4-star IOL Brandon Anderson
The current run of commitments started with four-star interior offensive lineman Brandon Anderson on October 20. The 6-foot-5, 335-pound Anderson, out of North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia, is ranked as the No. 26 interior offensive lineman in the On3 Industry Ranking and is ranked No. 30 overall in the state of Georgia.
3-star DL Tyson Bacon
A day after the Brandon Anderson commitment, the Vols added three-star defensive lineman Tyson Bacon. The 6-foot-4, 239-pound Bacon is ranked as the No. 27 overall defensive lineman in the On3 ratings and the No. 13 player in the state of Michigan.
