Tennessee Football has sold out five of its seven home games at Neyland Stadium this season, Tennessee athletic director Danny White announced on social media on Thursday morning. Limited single-game tickets remain for the season opener against Chattanooga and Senior Day against UTEP in November.

The Vols have sold out home games against Kent State, Florida, Alabama, Kentucky and Mississippi State. Tennessee opens the season against Chattanooga on August 31, a 12:45 p.m. Eastern Time kickoff that will be televised by SEC Network.

“Vol Nation, y’all continue to amaze me,” White wrote on social media. “Let’s sell the entire season out again!”

Vols have sold out season tickets two straight years, 15,000+ on season-ticket interest list

Tennessee led the SEC in total home attendance (713,405) and average home attendance (101,915) last season. The Vols were ranked third and fourth nationally in those categories, respectively.

Neyland Stadium has been sold out for 13 straight home games, dating back to a 63-6 win over Akron on September 17, 2022. All seven home games last season were sold out and the final six home games of the 2022 season were capacity crowds.

This season marks the third time in 23 years that Tennessee has sold out football season tickets, doing so last May and in August 2016.

It was announced in April that Tennessee had sold out its season-ticket allotment of 70,500 for a second straight season and at the time there was a “season ticket interest list” of 15,000 fans.

‘We’re fortunate at Tennessee to have what I believe to be the best fanbase in sport’

After the season-opener against Chattanooga, Tennessee goes to Charlotte for a neutral-site game against North Carolina State on September 7 (7:30 p.m. ET, ABC) at Bank of America Stadium in the Duke’s Mayo Classic.

The Vols return home to face Kent State on September 14 (7:45 p.m. ET, SEC Network) and will play four straight SEC home games later in the season, against Florida (October 12), Alabama (October 19), Kentucky (November 2) and Mississippi State (November 9), with a open date on October 26 splitting the four-game run.

Tennessee’s home finale is against UTEP on November 23 (1 p.m. ET, SEC Network+/ESPN+).

“People around the country are trying to figure out how to make their stadiums smaller,” White said during the Big Orange Caravan stop in Nashville in April. “We’re 102,000 strong and sold out for the season. We’re fortunate at Tennessee to have what I believe to be the best fanbase in sport.”
