Betting lines updated for No. 5 Tennessee's games against Alabama, Georgia

BetOnline on Thursday updated lines for college football’s “marquee games,” including Tennessee Football’s home date with Alabama on October 19 and the road game at Georgia on November 16.

Tennessee and Alabama were listed as pick ‘em and the Vols were an 8.5-point road underdog at Georgia. In early lines released in May, Tennessee was a 2.5-point home underdog against Alabama and a 17.5-point underdog at Georgia. The Vols were also listed in May as an 11-point favorite against Florida.

Tennessee (4-0) opened as a 10.5-point favorite for next week’s game at Arkansas (3-1), according to DraftKings, with the line moving to 11 points by Thursday morning.

The Vols are 4-0 against the spread this season

Tennessee is 4-0 against the spread this season. The Vols closed as a 5.5-point favorite at Oklahoma, winning 25-15 Saturday night at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. 

Tennessee was a 49-point favorite over Kent State in the 71-0 win. The Vols were 8.5-point favorites against North Carolina State in the 51-10 win in Charlotte in The Duke’s Mayo Classic. They were 39.5-point favorites in the 69-3 win over Chattanooga on August 31.

After the trip to Arkansas, a second straight road game to start the SEC schedule, Tennessee returns home for four straight home games and five home games out of the next six on schedule.

Florida comes to Knoxville on October 12, before Alabama on October 19. After a second bye week on October 26, the Vols host Kentucky on November 2 and Mississippi State on November 9.

The regular-season schedule closes with games at Georgia (November 16), at home against UTEP (November 23) and at Vanderbilt (November 30).

Both the Florida and Alabama games are flex kickoff times, meaning the games will start either between 3:30-4:30 p.m. ET and 6-8 p.m. ET. The Georgia game is also set for flex kickoff times.

The Kentucky and Mississippi State games are night games and will start between 6-8 p.m. ET. 

The UTEP game will be a 1 p.m. ET start on SEC Network+ and the Vanderbilt game will be an early kickoff, starting between Noon and 1 p.m. ET.
