Tennessee four-star tight end signee DaSaahn Brame was one of the biggest climbers in the final On300 rankings update on Thursday, moving up 104 spots to finish at No. 62 in the class.

The 6-foot-4.5, 225-pound Brame, out of Derby, Kansas, is the No. 4 tight end in the class and the No. 3 overall player out of the state of Kansas. He’s ranked No. 50 overall in the On3 Industry Ranking, which combines ratings from On3, 247, ESPN and Rivals.

“Brame is a headlining riser within the tight end group on the heels of a great senior season,” said Charles Power, On3’s director of football scouting and rankings, “and a strong showing at the Polynesian Bowl earlier this month.

“The Tennessee signee put together some outstanding senior film, showing effortless ball skills and functional athleticism.”

Brame signed with Tennessee in December and is the third highest-ranked prospect in the class, behind offensive tackle David Sanders and defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell, both five-star recruits out of the state of North Carolina.

Sanders is ranked No. 9 overall in the On3 ratings and Campbell, who got his fifth star on Thursday, is ranked No. 30 overall. Sanders is the No. 3 offensive tackle and Campbell is the No. 2 defensive lineman in the class.

“Brame is strong at the catch point,” Power said, “easily plucking passes away from his frame. He shows the ability to separate as a route-runner and pick up yards after the catch.

“It’s not every day you see a top tight end prospect take three punt returns to the house. The strong senior season and film puts Brame within the top tier of tight end prospects for On3.”

Tennessee flipped DaSaahn Brame from Oregon commitment

Brame was previously committed to Oregon before flipping to Tennessee in July, helping the Vols finish at No. 10 in the On3 class rankings for 2025. They ranked No. 7 in the SEC with an average class score of 92.15.

“I have known since I flipped back in July that Tennessee was where I wanted to go,” Brame told Volquest’s Matt Ray in December. “I am honestly glad I can finally think about coming up there and starting practices. I can finally stay true to my word and get up there and go to work.”

Brame described his senior season in high school as a blessing thanks to a head coach that let hime play all over the field.

“And just trying to give me the ball in as many ways as possible,” Brame said, “and one of those being punt return. It was kind of crazy doing that as a tight end. It was a lot of fun this year, and as a team, it went really well.”
