Kickoff time, TV information announced for No. 7 Tennessee at No. 2 Georgia
No. 7 Tennessee’s SEC showdown at No. 2 Georgia next Saturday will be a 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time kickoff at Sanford Stadium in Athens and will be televised by ABC. The SEC announced the full slate for Week 12 on Monday afternoon.
Tennessee (7-1, 4-1 SEC) and Georgia (7-1, 5-1) was previously set for the SEC’s ‘flex’ kickoff window, meaning it could have started anywhere between 3:30-4:30 p.m. ET and 6-8 p.m. ET.
The Vols are coming off three straight home wins, beating Florida 23-17 in overtime on October 12, Alabama 24-17 two weeks ago and Kentucky 28-18 Saturday night.
Georgia was tied with Florida 20-20 midway through the fourth quarter Saturday in Jacksonville, but scored twice in the final four minutes to win 34-20.

A Closer Look: Georgia
The lone loss for Georgia this season was at Alabama, 41-34. Georgia trailed 28-0 in the second quarter in Tuscaloosa, rallied to take a 34-33 lead with 2:31 left, then lost on a 75-yard Alabama touchdown pass just 13 seconds later.
Georgia beat then-No. 1 Texas 30-15 in Austin on October 19 and had to survive Kentucky for a 13-12 win in Lexington in Week 3.
The Bulldogs go to No. 16 Ole Miss this week for a 3:30 p.m. ET start in Oxford on ABC. Tennessee hosts Mississippi State in a 7 p.m. ET start on ESPN at Neyland Stadium.

The Series: Tennessee-Georgia
Georgia leads the all-time series against Tennessee 28-23-2. The Bulldogs have won seven straight in the series and 12 of the last 14, dating back to 2010.
Tennessee won back-to-back games against Georgia in 2015 and 2016, winning 38-31 in Knoxville and 34-31 in Athens.
The Vols trailed 24-3 midway through the second quarter at Neyland Stadium in 2015, before rallying to outscore the Bulldogs 35-7 from there. The 2016 game at Sanford Stadium ended with the 43-yard Hail Mary from Joshua Dobbs to Jauan Jennings, only moments after Georgia had gone ahead on a 47-yard touchdown with 10 seconds left.
Tennessee won nine straight in the series between 1989 and 1999, then Georgia answered with four straight from 2000 to 2003 and five of six through 2005.
The two teams first met in 1989, with Tennessee winning 5-0 in Knoxville. Georgia won 5-0 in Knoxville in the next meeting, in 1903.
